The Challenge

The client had developed an in-house e-commerce platform known as GEP (Global E-commerceApplication), but encountered significant performance issues. These issues resulted in diminished customer experience, higher operational costs, and reduced overall productivity. To address these challenges, we collaborated with the client to help through the transition from the legacy GEP platform to SAP Hybris.

We initiated a major migration plan that smoothly substituted the existing infrastructure with SAP Hybris which is a reliable platform for e-commerce that is known for performance, scalability as well as strong cybersecurity and data management capacities. The main goal was to make the platform perform better to achieve faster response times, increased stability and steadiness. Additionally, this development also aimed at improving the operational efficiency, cutting down expenses incurred through maintenance and support.

Our focal point was to empower the client with a modern and resilient e-commerce platform that not only met the existing performance standards but also supported future growth and scalability. By leveraging SAP Hybris, the client desired to achieve better operational efficiency, enhanced cybersecurity, and improved data management capabilities.

    Our Approach

The first step was to streamline and enhance the client's legacy e-commerce system, integrating it seamlessly with third-party integrators to improve operational efficiency and enable real-time monitoring of multiple datasets. We also redesigned the platform, leveraging its extensive e-commerce technology expertise, to have a strong technical architecture and meet current as well as future demands. Optimization of page navigation and reduction in physical clicks were the main areas of focus in this redesign.

We also ensured that the migration did not disrupt the existing technical functionalities critical to the client's operations. With careful planning and execution, the goal was to seamlessly integrate SAP Hybris into the client's infrastructure without disrupting the workflow.

Our team also conducted a thorough testing process to improve the security, performance, and accessibility of the e-commerce platform. Provisions were enacted to protect the site against threats, enhance its loading capacity under different conditions, and make sure that it met the ADA compliance standards. The objective was to create a secure, high-performance, and inclusive platform that provides a consistent user experience.
